Blessed feast of  Theophany of Jesus Christ!

We are having our first Moleben served for the new year 2015 on Thursday, January 22nd – 7 pm at Joy of All Who Sorrow.  OCLife will also have a simple dinner served at 6 pm followed by a short talk and possibly watch a video or listen to a podcast on the sanctity of life.  Hope to see you then!

May God bless OCLife in 2015.

Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Feeling excited and awe struck…wonder past speech…celebrating the Nativity and Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ tonight (on the old Julian calendar) at Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church, Indianapolis.

“Today the virgin, gives birth to the incomprehensible One;
and the earth offers a cave to the unapproachable One;
Angels and shepherds glorify Him;
the Wisemen journey with a star;
since for our sakes is born the ETERNAL GOD, as a little Child.”

December 17th (6:15 pm) Moleben at Sts. Constantine and Elena

My apologies for this short notice but I have just received the confirmation and blessing today for the moleben at Sts. Constantine and Elena on 16th St.  It is going to be tomorrow (Wednesday) starting at 6:15 pm and should be over by 7 pm.  I guess this is a very busy season of the Nativity of our Lord.  However, it is a very much-needed time to prepare our hearts,  a time for cleansing our souls from the things of this world that cry out for our attention.  May our Lord Jesus Christ fill our hearts with His peace, joy and love to share with those needing His touch.

A Blessed Nativity to all.

Troparion of the Feast

“Thy nativity, O Christ our God,
has shown to the world the light of wisdom;
for by it, those who worshipped the stars
were taught by a star to adore Thee
the Sun of Righteousness,
and to know Thee, the Orient from on high.
O Lord, glory to Thee.”

November 21st, 7 pm – Moleben at Joy of All Who Sorrow

Glory to God for all things!

We are approaching the year’s end and thank God for putting zeal in our hearts to keep the prayers going for the unborn.  Last month for the first time we had eleven men praying!  What a blessing to see 11 men and 3 women praying together.  Hope to see participation from the other parishes around Indianapolis.

May our God and Creator bless and guide us as we continue to uphold the unborn in our prayers.

40 Days For Life Prayer Vigil

40DaysForLife 10-18-14

Four ladies from OCLife-Indy braved the rain and prayed at the Planned Parenthood clinic on Georgetown Rd last Saturday at 3 pm.  It was well worth it!  Glory be to God!  The prayer vigil is ongoing until November 4th, so if you have some free time just swing by and join other volunteers on duty 8 am – 5 pm.  It is a true blessing to be able to pray there and make a difference.

October 22nd Moleben at Sts. Constantine and Elena

It is that time again!  That grace filled time when we knock at the gates of heaven on behalf of the unwanted innocent unborn children.  Could there be something else worthy of our time, attention and energy once a month and for just 45 minutes? Please join us on Wednesday, October 22nd at 6:15 pm at Sts. Constantine and Elena Orthodox Church on 3237 W 16th St., Indianapolis.  May God bless us all!

There were over 70 people who came out for the 40 Days for Life Indianapolis prayer rally with campaign director Shawn Carney on Oct. 10th.  He shared very inspiring stories of saved babies and changed lives through this campaign, glory be to God!

September 21st Moleben at Joy of All Who Sorrow

A year ago, we had the moleben for the unwanted unborn served at Joy of All Who Sorrow and it was on the feast day of the Nativity of the Mother of God.  I think this is going to be a regular event at the Joy of All Who Sorrow on this feast day, which is so fitting for the occasion – celebrating the birth of the Theotokos, the God bearer.

We will begin the service at 1 pm.  Come near, come far, come at the first hour or if it is not possible, come at the last hour.  Your presence and prayers are needed and appreciated.

I also want to take this opportunity to remind you of the Baby Drive for Birthline, if you are able, to bring diapers and gently used baby clothing for the cold season, sizes 0-2T.

Thank you and may God bless us to bear good fruit in this work.
