Photos from March 18th Moleben 40 Days for Life Prayer Spring Campaign

We had a blessed time praying the Moleben for Life and were greatly encouraged by Fr. Alexis’ exhortation to be like the “persistent widow” in the gospel in upholding and praying for the sanctity of life in the womb.  A big thank you to everyone who prayed with us there and to those who were with us in spirit.  Special thanks to folks who drove all the way from Bloomington, Indiana to join us in prayer.  It was also a blessing and delight to have Fr. Alex, his son, Fr. John and Fr. Deacon Michael to lead us in prayer.

We encourage you to pray with the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil which ends on April 9th.   You can pray for an hour any day from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm in front of Planned Parenthood, 8590 Georgetown Rd., Indianapolis.  Visit  Here is just one testimony of the power of prayer at this campaign from St. Paul Minnesota:

“Thanks be to God, a baby was saved from death at Planned Parenthood!” said a very excited St. Paul volunteer.  “I saw a girl walk out and start walking toward the end of the driveway,” the vigil participant said. “I asked if she was there for an abortion. She said yes, but she wasn’t going through with it.”  Click here for the whole story.

May God hear us and have mercy on us all, through the prayers of the Mother of God, the Joy of All Who Sorrow.

November 19th Moleben

Christ is in our midst!

We will have our moleben for life on Saturday, November 19th at 5 pm at Joy of All Who Sorrow.

“For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[b]
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.”

                         ~  Psalm 139:13-16

August 24th Molieben for Life at Sts. Constantine & Elena

It’s that time of the month again to pray as a group for the voiceless, innocent and unwanted unborn children.  We will meet at Sts. Constantine and Elena at 6:15 pm on Wednesday, August 24th.  Hope to see a lot of you out there who love God’s gift of life.

It is encouraging to hear what Indiana Governor Pence said on Fox News Sunday about his stand on abortion:

“Well, I’m pro-life,” Pence told Chris Wallace in response. “I don’t apologize for it.”…..“I’d like to see Roe vs. Wade overturned and consigned to the ash heap of history,” he said.”  To read the full article, click here

A Pro-Life movie “Voiceless” is coming to theaters on October 7, click here  for more information.

May God bless.

Molieben 7-22-16AMolieben 7-22-16

Thank you to all who came to the Molieben yesterday, July 22nd.  It was the first time we held it at St. Seraphim Orthodox Bookstore, which was very providential in many ways.  Four parishes were represented which included the faithful from Indianapolis –  Joy of All Who Sorrow, Sts. Constantine and Elena, St. John the Forerunner and from Bloomington – All Saints!   Welcome Jim and Patricia, delighted to have you both.  Thanks to Deaconessa Rebecca for making the delicious vegan sloppy joes  🙂  also to everyone’s contribution, and most importantly your presence.

May God continue to bless this ministry, through the prayers of the Mother of God and St. John the Wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco, our patron saint.
