God will turn evil into good in His perfect time.

Today marks the temporary triumph of evil versus good.  Same sex marriage and abortion proponents had their moment in the earthly courts.  God is sovereign and ultimately has the last judgment.

According to CNN, “gays and lesbians celebrated historic gains in their fight against laws limiting same-sex marriages saying Supreme Court rulings overturning the federal Defense of Marriage Act and rejecting the appeal of a California marriage ban represent a “joyous milestone.”

In Texas, “the legislature’s special session ended in chaos and confusion early Wednesday, when a marathon filibuster failed — but so did a Republican effort to pass a bill that would have greatly restricted abortions in the state.”

It is very sad and disturbing to see this nation decline in morality and fall out of God’s purpose for man and His creation.  However, it is not surprising that this is happening because it has been the case in ages past,  as St. Paul wrote to the Romans,

“Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”  (Romans 1:24-27  NKJ)

To those of us who love and value all life and who uphold God’s standard and definition of marriage between a man and a woman, let us not lose heart but let us keep praying and interceding that good will ultimately triumph, for at the proper time we will reap what we sow in prayer.  May God have mercy upon those who are blinded and deceived by humanistic, selfish and ungodly ideals.
